MAMA Academy – Wellbeing Wallets
When I was pregnant with my first son I worried so much about what I should and shouldn’t eat. I remember refusing to eat my favourite starter from our local Chinese take away as it had prawns in it and knew that shell fish were a big no-no. Was it ok if they were cooked? I didn’t know so thought it best to play it safe and not eat them at all. Instead I just watched on jealously as my husband devoured them!
I remember getting incredibly anxious as I saw my brother in law boil potatoes that he hadn’t washed when preparing dinner for us all. Was it ok because they were being boiled or should he have washed them anyway?!?
I constantly used to monitor my babies movements but never really knew whether it was normal for them to slow down towards the end of pregnancy or not.
In my last pregnancy I suffered severe itching in my hands and feet. If you read my blog here you will know that this was a very serious condition but could I have acted sooner if I had the information right under my nose?
All of these issues would have been helped if I had had a wellbeing wallet from MAMA Academy. Their amazing team have designed a wallet to keep your pregnancy notes in. The wallet has information expectant mums need to know to put their minds at rest and let them know when to seek help.
They include sections on food to avoid, normal signs of labour and when to call your midwife amongst other things.
The wallets are the perfect place to keep your pregnancy notes, your precious scans and any useful leaflets throughout your pregnancy.
This simple yet so effective initiative is being supported by Dr Ranj from ITV’s This Morning who quotes them as being “every mum-to-be’s must-have”!
You can get your wellbeing wallet by going direct to MAMA Academy’s website here.
I only wish these had been invented when I was pregnant as I would have snapped one up in an instant.
